As one of the earliest enterprises of home appliances in China, Meiling was established in 1983 and now is a wellknown company engaged in R&D and manufacturing of refrigeration appliances and washing machines in China. The annual manufacturing capacity of refrigerators and freezers is more than 12 million sets, and that of washing machines is 2 million sets. The company has 5 manufacturing bases in Hefei of Anhui province, Jingdezhen of Jiangxi province, Mianyang of Sichuan province, Zhongshan of Guangdong province, and Pakistan.

Meiling has three R&D centers, nine research institutes, 103 laboratories and 446 test stations. It also has a national laboratory, which is the UL/CSA/SGS/DERK/BUV accredited laboratory, with the independent testing ability of ROHS/ REACH. The new product goes through 60 test items and 2,162 hours of testing before launch in order to ensure its quality. Meiling possesses a national industrial design center, and many products have won the German Red Dot Award. Moreover, Meiling has built a national enterprise big data center,realizing intelligent production through the MES system.
